Recipe cards: dish cost calculates itself

Describe a dish once. Every sale deducts the ingredients, and a report shows margin and food cost for each item.

What it does

Deduction by recipe

A latte sells: milk, coffee and syrup leave the location's stock. Cancelling the order puts them back.

Sizes and add-ons

A large cup has a 1.5 multiplier, so 1.5 times the ingredients go. Cups and lids are not multiplied.

Prep items

Dough, sauce, a base: your own product made from other ingredients. Log a batch with the Produce button.

Margin and food cost

The Products report shows price, cost and margin. Items with food cost above 40% are highlighted.

How it works

  1. 1

Menu, Ingredients: name, unit (g, ml, pcs) and cost per unit.

  2. 2

In the dish card tap + ingredient and enter the amount per portion.

  3. 3

Sell. Stock and cost update with every receipt.

Questions and answers

What if stock goes negative?+

The sale is not blocked. Stock goes below zero and you see it is time for a receipt or a recount.

Do I need stock tracking for the till to work?+

No. Without recipe cards the till simply sells and stock is not counted. Turn recipes on when you are ready.
